The Covid Pandemic, Digitization ad Divergence in European Innovation Systems

The four panelists will explore the heterogeneous effects of the covid pandemic on innovation activity and economic performance at the national, sector and enterprise levels. The panel will further consider what policy responses should be pursued at the EU- and national levels to support the development of technical and innovation capabilities in those sectors and enterprises that have been hit the hardest by the pandemic and to mitigate the unequal impact of the pandemic across nations.
